WASHINGTON — U.S. President Donald Trump reported more than $1.4 billion in income from cryptocurrency-related ventures in 2025, according to his annual financial disclosure, underscoring how digital assets have become the largest source of his reported earnings during his first full year back in the White House.

The 927-page disclosure, filed with the U.S. Office of Government Ethics and released on Tuesday, showed that businesses linked to Trump generated hundreds of millions of dollars from cryptocurrency token sales, licensing agreements and other digital-asset ventures. The filing offers the most comprehensive public accounting to date of the president's financial interests since returning to office in January 2025.

According to the disclosure, Trump-affiliated entities received nearly $800 million from World Liberty Financial, a cryptocurrency venture co-founded by Trump and his sons. The filing also reported roughly $635 million in royalties and related income connected to the $TRUMP meme coin through CIC Digital LLC, pushing total reported crypto-related income above $1.4 billion.

The filing also listed income from Trump's real estate holdings, licensing businesses, legal settlements and investment portfolio. Even so, cryptocurrency-related activities exceeded the earnings reported from his longstanding property businesses, marking a significant shift in the composition of his reported wealth.

The disclosure has renewed scrutiny from ethics experts and Democratic lawmakers, who argue that the president's extensive financial interests in cryptocurrency could create conflicts with an administration that has pursued policies viewed as favorable to the digital-asset industry. Critics have questioned whether presidential actions affecting cryptocurrency regulation could influence the value of businesses connected to Trump and his family.

The White House has rejected allegations of wrongdoing, maintaining that Trump complies with applicable financial disclosure requirements and that his administration's policies are intended to strengthen U.S. economic competitiveness and support innovation rather than benefit his private interests.

The financial disclosure is required annually under federal ethics rules and provides estimates of income, assets and liabilities rather than audited financial statements. The Office of Government Ethics publishes the reports but does not independently verify every valuation or income figure reported by filers.
