JAKARTA — Indonesian government offices on Tuesday released updates on several ongoing policy reviews, saying evaluations of governance, public services and administrative performance will continue as ministries refine implementation plans and prepare additional recommendations for the coming months.
The Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs said strengthening governance and risk management remains a priority as global geopolitical tensions, financial market volatility and supply-chain disruptions continue to affect the economic outlook. Speaking at the 2026 Risk and Governance Summit in Jakarta, Deputy for Coordination of State-Owned Enterprises Management and Development Ferry Irawan said Indonesia's economic fundamentals remained resilient despite external uncertainty and cited recent international forecasts that maintained the country's growth outlook.
According to the ministry, the government is pursuing what it described as "future-ready governance" through stronger institutional oversight, improved risk management and closer coordination across agencies. Officials said the measures are intended to support policy implementation and sustain investor confidence while responding to evolving global conditions.
Separately, the Ministry of Law has continued internal reviews of first-half performance and policy implementation. During a coordination meeting earlier this month, Law Minister Supratman Andi Agtas instructed officials to evaluate progress against ministry targets, identify implementation challenges and formulate strategies for the remainder of 2026. Ministry officials said the reviews are intended to strengthen policy development and improve coordination among government units.
Other ministries have also advanced reviews tied to ongoing government programs. The Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform has continued preparations for monitoring and evaluating public-service delivery under several presidential priority programs, with results from this year's assessment process expected later in 2026. The ministry said the exercise is designed to improve coordination and measure service performance across government institutions.
In the legal affairs sector, the Coordinating Ministry for Law, Human Rights, Immigration and Corrections has completed a second-quarter performance evaluation and outlined work priorities for July, describing the process as part of broader efforts to ensure policy implementation remains aligned with government objectives.
The latest updates form part of a broader cycle of policy reviews being conducted across ministries as the government assesses implementation progress, identifies operational issues and prepares recommendations for future decisions. Authorities have not announced major changes arising from Tuesday's updates, and officials said the review processes will continue according to each ministry's established timetable.
