NEW DELHI — Delhi University has released the third-round category-wise cut-off ranks for admission to its Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) programmes for the 2026-27 academic session, providing candidates with the latest benchmarks for seat allocation under the ongoing admission process based on Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 ranks.
The university published the third-round cut-off list and related admission schedule on its official admissions portal as part of the Faculty of Technology's counselling process. The cut-offs apply to admissions in B.Tech. programmes in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Electrical Engineering, with seat allocation based solely on candidates' Common Rank List (CRL) in JEE (Main) 2026 Paper-I, according to the university.
The release follows the announcement of third-round seat allotment results earlier this week. Candidates allotted seats in the third round are required to complete the admission formalities within the deadlines specified by the university, while eligible applicants may also be considered for subsequent counselling rounds if vacancies remain after the completion of the current phase.
Delhi University has been conducting admissions to its engineering programmes through multiple allocation rounds, with separate category-wise closing ranks published after each stage. The university had earlier released first- and second-round cut-off ranks before issuing the latest third-round list, enabling candidates to assess changes in admission thresholds across different programmes and reservation categories.
According to the admission guidelines, the published cut-off ranks represent the closing Common Rank List positions at which seats were allocated in each programme and category during the respective round. The university has said admissions are conducted strictly in accordance with its reservation policy and the applicable eligibility criteria outlined in the admission bulletin.
The Faculty of Technology currently offers undergraduate engineering programmes in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. Admission to these courses is based on JEE (Main) scores rather than the Common University Entrance Test (CUET), which is used for most other undergraduate programmes at the university.
Delhi University has advised applicants to regularly monitor the official admissions portal for programme-specific cut-off ranks, counselling schedules and any subsequent notifications regarding additional admission rounds or vacant seats, should they be announced after completion of the third-round process.
